Question

  • If I am deploying an Axonius version 4.5 or earlier Collector Node, how can I download and deploy this

Environment

  • Axonius - 4.5 and earlier

Additional Information

To receive the appropriate download information along with the decryption key, please open a new ticket via https://support.axonius.com/hc/en-us/requests/new OR by sending an email to support@axonius.com

Procedure

  1. Open a new ticket with the Axonius Technical Support team requesting the decryption key, OVA download instructions, and/or to have the AMI deployed to your AWS account.
  2. Perform the following steps to configure the network:
    1. Log in to the system using the console as username netconfig and password netconfig.
      1. NOTE: the netconfig user is NOT accessible via ssh.
    2. Follow the wizard for assigning an IP to the machine using a static IP address or DHCP.
  3. Perform the following steps to decrypt the image:
    1. Log in to the system as username decrypt and password decrypt.
    2. The system will prompt you with:
      Please enter the decryption key.
    3. Enter the decryption key provided in your technical support ticket
    4. After you enter the decryption password, the system will reply with:
      Decrypt completed
Machine is ready, Axonius should start soon.
      Decrypt user - end
    5. The SSH session will terminate at this point, and Axonius will start in 15-30 minutes.
    6. Shortly after the decryption process is finished, the decrypt user will be removed.
  4. Once the instance is up and running, please contact Axonius Technical Support to apply the license to your instance.
