What steps are required for deploying an Axonius primary node?

Question

  • If I am a new customer and need to deploy a new Axonius instance, what steps should I follow?
  • If I want to deploy a development/test environment, how can I configure my instance?

Deploy the Axonius Appliance

These steps should be followed if you plan on deploying a new production instance of the Axonius Platform.

  1. Review the following documents on the Axonius documentation site
  2. Follow the steps in this KB article to request the latest release of the Axonius Platform: How do I setup the latest release of Axonius via a new OVA or AMI?

License the Axonius Appliance

These steps should be followed if you have already deployed and decrypted your new production instance or if you have moved from a POC environment to production. In addition, they only need to be followed if your system will not connect to the Axonius Remote Support system.

  1. Login to the Axonius Support Portal
  2. Navigate to "My activities" to view your current tickets
  3. Select the ticket starting with "Axonius License Update"
    • If one does not exist, you can create a new ticket and provide the information below
  4. Login to your Axonius system
  5. Navigate to Settings -> About
  6. Capture the "Customer ID" and "Installed Version" values
  7. Provide this information in the Axonius Support ticket
  8. The Axonius Customer Success team will validate the license request and reply with the required next steps
